Thank you for your interest in signing up for the Misaskim Shiva Minyan alert system!
How it Works: The Shiva Minyan alert system will notify you if there is help needed for a Minyan at a shiva house in Baltimore. The shiva houses are given a tablet and at the time that a Minyan is supposed to begin, if they are missing people, they can request a specific amount of men to complete a Minyan.
In order to make this system efficient, much work has gone into the development of this application and safeguards put in place to avoid unnecessary calls notifications for shiva alerts. This list will be used for Shiva and levaya information only and not sold to any third party for marketing purposes.
You can receive notifications via text, email or phone calls. After an alert is sent out, you are able to reply with a short code to let them know you are available to join and once the correct amount of people have replied, an “All Clear” message is sent to all others on the alert list so that you know the people have been found and you are no longer needed.
By default, all people that sign up via email or SMS will get “All Clear” messages once a Minyan as been filled, for phone calls, you have the option to get an “All Clear” phone call.
